About this position
A private household is seeking an experienced Laundress to join a fully staffed team based in Delray Beach, with significant travel to New York and the Midwest. This role requires expertise in garment care, sewing, and mending, as well as a team-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, flexible, and comfortable supporting the household team as needed.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of laundry and garment care, including washing, drying, steaming, and pressing
Handle delicate fabrics and specialty items with proper care
Perform sewing and mending, including minor alterations and repairs
Organize closets, wardrobes, and laundry areas
Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and report needs
Travel with the household to New York and the Midwest as required
Work collaboratively with a fully staffed household team
Provide additional household support when needed to assist the team
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, and garment preservation
Sewing and mending skills required
Comfortable working as part of a team in a fully staffed home
Flexible and willing to travel frequently and for extended periods of time
High level of discretion and professionalism
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
