Staff Accountant


 Job Summary: This role is responsible for completing all aspects of financial management and reporting for a portfolio of managed assets.


Responsibilities include:  

  • Monthly accounting close, balance sheet schedules, reconciliations, and prepararation of timely and accurate financial/operating report packages for the assigned mixed portfolio
  • Analyze financial statements and financial health, provide monthly analysis in addition to reports
  • Work closely with Operational Managers, Accountants, clients and corporate personnel to provide top quality customer service, budgets, year-end reconciliations and financial reports
  • Cash management functions including bank reconciliations, cash flow projections, bank transfers, owner distributions/cash sweeps, and payment processing
  • Utility and tenant bill backs
  • Prepare, file and pay sales and use tax returns for applicable properties
  • Collaborate with auditors and tax accountants to ensure quality year-end financial statements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 2+ years related experience or an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and 4+ years related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Extremely organized, strong multi-tasking and proven time management skills
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks Online, Yardi One, AvidXchange, or other property/marina management software a plus
