Position Purpose

Entry-level fabrication of hose and gasket products. Assists in utilizing a variety of tools and machinery to customize products according to customer needs. This position is safety sensitive.

Goals of Position

  • Accurately fabricate hose assemblies, gaskets, and related products per customer requirements.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of shop tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant workspace.
  • Support warehouse and delivery tasks as needed to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand, measuring, and cutting tools such as tape measures and mechanic's tools.
  • Operate shop equipment such as die press, belt slitter, and automated coupling machines under supervision.
  • Fabricate hose assemblies, gaskets, and conveyor/drive belting per directives and specifications.
  • Conduct warehouse inventory, move/store material using forklifts, and deliver products using company vehicles.
  • Perform general housekeeping in compliance with OSHA standards and follow all safety and RGA procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Authority

• Act Alone:

o Pull tickets and complete orders

o Verify task completion and equipment readiness

o Check product quality before release

• Touch Base with Supervisor:

o Request additional materials or supplies

o Coordinate project deadlines and priorities

• Need Approval from Supervisor:

o Authorize overtime or shift changes

o Adjust production priorities as needed

Education and Experience

• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

• Must have a valid, active Driver's License with an insurable driving record

Physical Demands

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely use potentially dangerous equipment.
  • Occasionally required to sit; must be able to stand, climb, stoop, crouch, reach, walk, and bend.

  • Must be able to talk and hear.
  • Must be able to read and speak English

Work Environment

  • Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
  • Frequently exposed to uncomfortably hot or cold temperatures.
  • Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and very loud noise levels.
