About this position

Overview

The primary role of this position is to serve as a weekend-only backup shuttle driver, providing safe and efficient transportation for associates on predetermined routes to and from the Peterson Farms campus while obeying all traffic laws. 

  • Saturday: Split shift – early morning 4:45 AM to 7:45 AM, and afternoon 1:45 PM to 4:45 PM

  • Sunday: Overnight shift – 8:00 PM to approximately 3:00 or 4:00 AM

RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS

  • Maintain constant communication with HR.
  • Provide excellent customer service to associates.
  • Complete light paperwork and associate pick-up log.
  • Must report any problems or issue to management.
  • Light housekeeping/inspections of vacant units.
  • Posting of notices at Oceana Acres.
  • Delivering notices and evictions to tenants.
  • Misc. errands for HR (transport associates to clinic, post office, local stores, deliveries, hardware store, etc.)
  • Must be able to work flexible hours/shifts.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred

 

Work Experience

  • One year manufacturing experience desirable

 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Must have exceptional driving history (MVR record check required).
  • Must be able to comfortably work with company provided personal tablet and have experience working in the Microsoft Office Suite software program.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions.
  • Ability to follow and comply with quality standards.
  • Ability to comprehend and comply with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work as contributing member within the team.
  • Ability to frequently lift/move material weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer (keyboard/mouse).

ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

  • Moderate exposure to wet work environment.
  • Moderate exposure to various outdoor environmental seasons while operating vehicle.
  • Lifts material/product weighing up to 10 pounds frequently (with assistance); lifts material/product weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally (with assistance).
  • Stands, walks, uses hands/fingers to handle or feel, uses hands/arms to reach, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls while performing functions of position.
  • Constant mental and visual alertness (including peripheral vision and depth perception) required to avoid serious injury to self and others and to perform quality functions of position.
  • Eye and hearing protection, hair nets, bump hats, lab coats and foot protection may be required.
