Job Summary 


The Validation Engineer is responsible for 2 major areas: Piloting the effective realization of the customer project's validation plans, and contributing to the performance and development of the laboratory. The main deliverables are: CTQ (Critical to Quality) Validation in their perimeter of activity, and Testing Reports / Test Facilities Specifications. Materials to be tested including (but not limited to): automotive plastics, resins, paint, adhesives. 

Contract assignment for 12+  months, with an evaluation at 6 months. (Extensions possible).


Activities

  • Manages the different functional validation phases on assigned projects, according to the validation plans (technical needs, planning and deadline, deliverables).
  • Develops technical means or testing material 
  • Manages the evolution of specifications, testing methods
  • Technically contributes  to the product/ process development and ensure its conformity
  • Applies and ensure application of laboratory procedures in accordance with existing standards –   when applicable
  • Applies EHS &5S Procedures and makes sure there are properly followed
  • Helps in setting up areas  for improvement 
  • This the main contact in terms of axis for validation (equipment, testing methods)
  • Adheres to Validation budget (realized vs. estimated)
  • Adheres to diffusion scheduling reports 
  • Contributes to resolution of non-compliance trials


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering. Materials Science, or related field is also acceptable. Master's degree preferred.
  • Automotive industry experience in a testing laboratory environment (must).
  • Experience performing material/product tests in plastics is a must. Force, vibration, paint. Pull tests on plastics parts, clips, etc. 
  • Experience in DVPs and executing DVP&Rs. Ability to read and interpret DVP&R (must).
  • Experience performing and executing tests such as pull-force, vibration, and paint adhesion tests
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards

Salary Information

$40.00 - $44.00 Hourly Wage
