About this position
Looking for a professional, energetic expanded function dental assistant for our private general practice in Lexington, Ky. Needed Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures - class I to IV fillings, temporary crowns, coronal polishing, sealants, intra-oral scanning, denture, partial and implant procedures
- Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
- Take digital radiographs using Dexis and Planmeca software
- Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, provide patients with instructions for oral care, etc..
- We utilize Dentrix software and Trios scanner- willing to train.
- May also assist our hygienist at times
Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Spanish Speaking is a plus but not required
