Description:

  • Serves as telephone operator, receiving business and residential calls and routing them appropriately or taking messages when needed
  • Serves as a watch-guard for wandering residents so that they do not exit the building
  • Serves as a central information center for residents and their families, providing information about the community or pertaining to personal needs/interests expressed
  • Provides active listening with residents to offer support and identify concerns or problems, which need to be referred to another department
  • Maintains the visitor sign-in logs and the resident sign-out sheets
  • Maintains an up-to-date Resident Directory, to reflect resident status (room number, level of care, out on pass, etc.)
  • Sorts and distributes business and residential mail in a timely and accurate manner. This includes metering and packaging outgoing mail as well
  • Notifies appropriate person when postage needs to be replenished
  • Manages the Guest Stay and Guest Meal programs to assure that proper communication occurs between the reception desk and the Dining Services and/or Environmental Services Depts
  • Keeps track of all incoming admissions to assist them in adjusting to the community's routines and services
  • Distributes facility brochures to walk-ins, providing information as needed
  • Schedule appointments for residents with in-house physicians and complete necessary paperwork
  • Run daily IL resident Check-In report and call any residents who don't push the check-in button. Notify maintenance to check on any IL residents who don't answer the phone.
  • Schedule transportation for residents on the community bus, complete necessary paperwork and give slips to appropriate person to invoice; assist residents in securing outside personal transportation.
  • Serves as central receiving point for all work orders. Writes, logs, dispatches emergencies as needed and logs into the Tracking Program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 months experience preferred

$16.05 - $16.05 Hourly Wage
