General Managers are responsible for delivering the ultimate customer experience. You will oversee the entire quick-service restaurant operations including financial performance, product preparation and production, inventory, personnel, sales, and marketing while maintaining Church's Chicken's standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.

Job Description:

  • Greet and interact with customers to ensure a positive, enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, controllable profits, and adjust based on changing business conditions.
  • Ensure product quality and always maintain cleanliness in both the restaurant and the team environment.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and development of restaurant personnel to build a strong and efficient team.
  • Drive and maintain acceptable sales levels, continuously seeking ways to improve performance.
  • Handle restaurant cash control, including making bank deposits and maintaining an accurate change fund.
  • Track and report inventory using established systems; ensure proper stock levels by ordering, receiving, and accounting for dry goods, perishables, and equipment.
  • Utilize a preventive maintenance system to ensure all facility and equipment repairs are addressed promptly.
  • Ensure sufficient staffing levels by creating efficient schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, period-end, and special reports as required.
  • Support and adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure proper execution of all foodservice programs and procedures as outlined by corporate guidelines.
  • Enforce the correct use of the point-of-sale system, ensuring cash handling aligns with company policies.
Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the food service industry; experience in fast food or quick-service restaurants (QSR) preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and problem-solving effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and health codes.
  • Food Safety Certification preferred (ServSafe Manager or similar).

Working Conditions:

  • Work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required to maintain adequate staffing levels. Must be available to work as needed or on short notice.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the restaurant.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite, Excel, Word, and other computer programs is preferred.
