Commercial Leasing ManagerCosta Mesa, CA Boardwalk Investments Group, LLC ("Boardwalk") is a privately held commercial real estate investment company. Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, the Firm currently manages a commercial real estate portfolio comprised of retail, mixed-use, office and multifamily assets located primarily in Orange County, California. Since 2012, Boardwalk's investment strategy is to actively acquire, stabilize, and manage commercial real estate located in core, coastal markets in California. We’re looking for a high-energy, results-driven Leasing Manager who thrives on closing deals, building relationships, and keeping portfolios performing at their best. This role is ideal for someone who knows the market, moves fast, and takes ownership of leasing outcomes from strategy through execution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOwn and drive day-to-day leasing activity across a commercial and residential portfolio, with clear accountability for occupancy, velocity, and revenue performance.Proactively develop and execute leasing strategies aligned with market conditions, asset performance, and ownership objectives.Analyze market trends, rental rates, concessions, and competitor activity to keep pricing and positioning sharp.Aggressively market available spaces through listings, advertising, broker outreach, tours, and direct prospecting.Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, tenants, and internal stakeholders.Lead lease negotiations from first conversation through execution, including new leases, renewals, amendments, and terminations.Act as the primary point of contact for prospects and tenants throughout the leasing lifecycle, ensuring a professional, responsive experience.Partner closely with property management to support tenant retention and smooth onboarding.Track and manage leasing pipelines, activity, and performance metrics; provide regular reporting and insights to leadership.Maintain accurate leasing records, compliance documentation, and deal files.Collaborate with finance, legal, operations, and ownership to move deals efficiently and protect asset value.Bring forward ideas, insights, and recommendations that improve leasing velocity and long-term portfolio performance. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).3–5+ years of leasing experience, ideally across commercial and/or mixed-use portfolios.Proven success negotiating leases and driving deals to close.Strong market instincts with the ability to balance strategy and execution.Confident, persuasive communicator with a relationship-first mindset.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deals at once.Tech-savvy and proficient with leasing platforms, CRMs, and Microsoft Office.A self-starter mentality — motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership without being micromanaged.
