Pet Care Center Launch Manager
Location: Petfolk HQ – New York City, NY or Boca Raton, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Salary Range: $75,000–$100,000 annually
Travel: Up to 10%
About the Role
Petfolk is growing—and every new Care Center starts with exceptional operational readiness. As our New Store Opening Manager, you will ensure each new location opens with the right equipment, supplies, vendor accounts, and operational infrastructure in place. From procurement through Operations Turnover (OT) week, you’ll own the full process that brings a new Care Center to life.
This highly cross-functional, hands-on role partners daily with Development, Construction, Facilities, Regulatory, Launch, and Medical Operations. You’ll thrive here if you excel at organization, communication, and juggling multiple timelines while keeping a strong sense of ownership.
What You’ll Do
Procurement Management
Lead end-to-end procurement for all new Care Centers, ensuring accurate ordering, timely delivery, and alignment with construction and opening schedules.
Manage SKU audits, identify alternatives, resolve backorders, and maximize surplus utilization.
Vendor Account Creation & Management
Set up and maintain all clinical and operational vendor accounts for new centers.
Complete required applications, configure platforms, secure access, and resolve account-related issues.
New Store Opening Readiness
Own the full turnover process—from initial procurement through OT week.
Ensure all equipment, supplies, systems, and workflows are delivered, staged, functional, and opening-day ready.
Maintain and enhance the OT Week Guide.
Coordinate vendor readiness, training, and safe processes for handling cold-chain and pharmacy orders.
Equipment Management & CapEx Support
Partner with Regulatory to coordinate delivery, installation, certification, and early troubleshooting for operational and medical equipment.
Support standardized equipment packages, cost estimations, and CapEx planning.
Assist with troubleshooting capital equipment issues alongside Facilities, Learning & Development, and vendor partners.
Surplus Management
Track, manage, and redistribute surplus inventory to support upcoming openings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Regulatory, Medical Ops, Construction, Facilities, and Launch teams to ensure smooth openings with clear ownership across workflows.
Vendor Operations & Process Improvement
Maintain strong vendor relationships and handle escalations.
Improve procurement tools, SOPs, and workflows to support Petfolk’s scale.
What You Bring
3–6+ years experience in procurement, operations, supply chain, or multi-site openings.
Strong vendor management and communication skills.
Highly organized with excellent project and timeline management capabilities.
Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel; strong analytical abilities.
Experience in veterinary, healthcare, retail, or multi-site environments strongly preferred.
Experience in construction, facilities, or new store setup is a plus.
Comfortable navigating digital platforms and systems.
Collaborative, adaptable, and resourceful with strong follow-through.
Work Environment
In-Person Requirement: This role is fully onsite at Petfolk HQ (NYC or Boca Raton). Our care centers rely on teamwork—and HQ is no different. Working in person accelerates problem-solving and strengthens collaboration.
Travel: Up to 10% to support procurement readiness, equipment coordination, and new store openings.
Physical Requirements: Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working on a computer.
