About this position
Are you a seasoned psychologist with a passion for forensic mental health? Were seeking a Director of Forensic Services to lead and manage the delivery of forensic evaluations while guiding a team of skilled psychologists. In this role, youll oversee court-ordered assessments, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and mentor professionals to achieve clinical excellence. This role will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and will ensure positive outcomes for individuals served.
What Youll Do
- Oversee
all court-ordered forensic and clinical evaluations, including Competence
to Stand Trial (CST), Criminal Responsibility (CR), aid-in-sentencing
evaluations, and civil commitment assessments.
- Ensure
the department meets all legal, contractual, and documentation
requirements.
- Hire,
train, supervise, and coach psychologists within the department.
- Lead
and manage the post-doctoral training program.
- Maintain
accountability for departmental performance while fostering a
collaborative, high-trust environment.
What Were Looking For
Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications
- Education:
Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited university (required).
- Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in forensic assessment (preferred).
- Licenses/Certifications:
Current license as a psychologist in the state of practice (required).
Designated Forensic Psychologist if required by contract or law.
