Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
  • Experience in activity therapy or recreational therapy, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic activity planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards applicable to therapeutic programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience working in long-term care, rehabilitation, or mental health settings.
  • Advanced leadership training or certification.
  • Experience in program development to secure funding for therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and supervise therapeutic activity programs tailored to the needs of clients or residents.
  • Manage and mentor a team of activity therapists and support staff, providing training and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to enhance program effectiveness and client engagement.
  • Monitor program outcomes through data collection and analysis, making adjustments to improve service quality and client satisfaction.
