Amount of Travel: No travel required 

Work Schedule: As determined by DOFB, must be available on weekends and holidays. 

Salary: $20-$23

Position Summary

The Food & Beverage Hourly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily dining operations within the clubhouse, ensuring exceptional member and guest experiences that reflect the club’s standards of excellence. This role provides hands-on leadership across à la carte dining, bar service, banquets, golf events, and member functions.

The ideal candidate is service-focused, highly organized, and capable of leading by example in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Supervise daily front-of-house food and beverage operations including dining rooms, bars, patios, and event spaces
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate service expectations, menu features, wine pairings, and event details
  • Ensure proper floor coverage and staffing levels based on reservations, golf play, and event activity
  • Maintain seamless communication with the culinary team to ensure timing, quality, and presentation standards

Member Experience

  • Deliver elevated, personalized service to members and guests
  • Address and resolve service concerns promptly and professionally
  • Build rapport with members and anticipate preferences
  • Uphold club traditions, etiquette, and service standards

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate servers, bartenders, and support staff
  • Assist with training new team members on service standards, POS systems, and club policies
  • Enforce uniform and appearance standards
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Monitor POS accuracy and ensure member charge accuracy
  • Support inventory control and beverage management practices
  • Assist with labor management by adjusting staffing levels when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with New York State health, safety, and alcohol service regulations

Facility & Compliance

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, bars, and service stations
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of member events and golf outings
  • Enforce food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–3 years of food and beverage leadership experience (country club, fine dining, or hotels preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service
  • Experience supervising in a private club environment preferred
  • Familiarity  with POS systems and reservation platforms
  • New York State TIPS certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
