Kitchen Manager


  • This position is responsible for leading a team of restaurant staff to meet company standards and execute efficient restaurant operations
  • Work schedule includes days, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Reports to General Manager


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our team in delivering an exceptional hospitality and culinary experience. Kitchen Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing all back-of-house and daily restaurant operations, maintain food quality and consistency, manage costs, uphold safety and sanitation standards, and inspire your team to deliver excellence. Strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to hospitality and culinary excellence are essential.


Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time and prepared, maintaining professional appearance standards. 
  • Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented culture.
  • Provide coaching, training, feedback, recognition, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop team members for future leadership opportunities.
  • Hold team accountable for performance, attitude, behavior, and adherence to company systems and service standards. 
  • Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Assist with menu rollouts and recipe standardization.
  • Maintain excellence in execution during all service periods.
  • Resolve guest and kitchen-related concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve the guest experience. 
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain full compliance with health department regulations and ServSafe standards. Enforce proper food storage, labeling, dating, and FIFO procedures.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained and repairs are addressed promptly. 
  • Monitor and control food, labor, beverage, and operational costs.
  • Manage scheduling to align with business needs and labor targets.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and minimize waste.
  • Oversee ordering and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels of food, smallwares, and supplies.
  • Develop and maintain prep lists and production schedules.

Requirements:

 

  • 3+ years of kitchen leadership or management experience in a full service restaurant. 
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and food safety requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Associate’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.

Salary Information

$55000.00 - $65000.00 Annual Salary
