Summary

This position is responsible for planning, designing, documenting, and drafting while aiding Design Engineers and others as necessary.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create sketches, part models, and assemblies in Solidworks for a variety of Genesis products.
  • Draft detailed multi-view drawings of machined parts, weldments, and assemblies.
  • Complete all documentation required for each project as instructed.
  • Work with members of the engineering and manufacturing departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience and Requirements

  • Pursuing a two year degree in mechanical design and experience using SolidWorks design software
  • Experience with 2-D drafting software such as AutoCAD.
  • Basic knowledge of dimensioning, tolerancing, and bill of materials. 
  • Knowledge of fabrication and machining practices preferred but not required.
