Pay Range: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Authorization / Referral Coordinator to join our Cardiology Office. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW). This role is essential to ensuring that authorizations, referrals, and billing-related tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that all assigned authorizations are thoroughly researched and resolved within required timeframes.
Assist with Medicare and commercial insurance billing processes.
Coordinate and monitor claim status.
Support the resolution of claim rejections and returned claims; perform necessary follow-up to ensure timely payment.
Document account activities clearly and accurately.
Assist with Medicare filing requirements, meeting NOA, 30-day, and 60-day submission deadlines.
Clarify incomplete or unclear information as needed.
Assist with audits and compliance-related activities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare and insurance billing rules and guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to communicate effectively via phone; adequate hearing (with amplifier if needed).
Must work onsite at the Tampa (N. MacDill Ave) office.
Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
