About the Role
Join a team that plays a critical role in supporting wildfire response across Alberta. As a Technical Representative, you will represent the company in the field, supporting Air Tanker Bases (ATB’s) and Mobile Retardant Bases (MRB’s), while ensuring safe, reliable delivery of fire-retardant products and services. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys technical work, problem-solving, and working in dynamic field environments. 

This position is based out of Sturgeon County, AB and reports to the Facility Supervisor. Frequent travel is required.


What You’ll Do

· Operate, service, troubleshoot, and maintain mixing and loading equipment

· Support ATB and MRB setup, operations, and shutdowns during fire season

· Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards are consistently met

· Monitor product quality and complete required documentation and reports

· Safely operate forklifts and specialty equipment

· Participate in safety meetings, training, and off-season maintenance activities

· Work closely with customers, agencies, and internal teams

· Respond to early, late, or short-notice field callouts

  

Work Environment & Schedule

· Off-season schedule: Monday–Friday

· During fire season: 10 days on / 4 days off rotation

· Physically demanding role (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, kneeling)

· Outdoor work in varying and sometimes high-temperature conditions

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Valid Class 5 driver’s license

· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Comfortable using basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible schedules

Assets (Nice to Have)

· Millwright, pipefitting, welding, or fabrication experience

· Wildland firefighting experience or knowledge

· First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, Confined Space, or equipment operator certifications

· Trailer towing and load securement experience
