Position Summary: The Daiquiri Dock Attendant is responsible for providing fast, friendly, and professional service to guests purchasing food and beverages at high-volume stands located throughout the venue. This position involves preparing and serving food, pouring and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, operating a POS system, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The Attendant must ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol regulations while creating a positive guest experience. Must be 21 years of age or older due to alcohol service requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food and Beverage Service: 
  • Prepare and serve food and drink items efficiently and in accordance with venue standards. 
  • Pour and serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with local laws and venue policies. 
  • Ensure food is presented neatly, at the correct temperature, and in proper portions. 
  • Replenish food and beverage items as needed throughout service. 
  • Offer product recommendations and upsell when appropriate.

2. Customer Service: 

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to all guests. 
  • Greet customers warmly and answer any questions about menu items. 
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints in a calm and effective manner. 
  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor during busy periods.

3. Cash Handling and POS Operation: 

  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately process transactions. 
  • Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods securely. 
  • Ensure all charges are correct and issue receipts promptly. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and follow company cash handling procedures.

4. Stand Maintenance and Organization:

  • Keep the stand area clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times. 
  • Clean equipment, counters, and service areas throughout the shift. 
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of the stand before and after events.

5. Compliance and Safety: 

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines. 
  • Adhere to alcohol service laws and venue-specific protocols. 
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food and beverage products. 
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately.

6. Inventory Control: 

  • Monitor inventory levels during shifts and report shortages. 
  • Assist with restocking items and tracking usage of supplies. 
  • Support inventory counts and help minimize product waste.

7. Team Collaboration: 

  • Work as part of a collaborative team to ensure efficient and smooth operations. 
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. 
  • Assist and support teammates during high-volume service times. 
  • Provide training support to new team members as needed.

8. Event Support: 

  • Assist in preparing stands for special events, including large crowds and VIP services. 
  • Participate in event-specific tasks such as set-up, tear down, and cleanup. 
  • Adapt quickly to varying event needs and guest expectations.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Experience

  • Prior experience in food service, bartending, or retail (preferred but not required). 
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Positive attitude, team mindset, and adaptability.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. 
  • Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment and outdoors when necessary

Work Environment:

  • Position involves indoor and outdoor work. 
  • Requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability depending on event schedules. 
  • Work may involve exposure to hot equipment, food preparation areas, and variable weather conditions.

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly wage plus tips.
