How You’ll Make an Impact:
The Deburr Technician removes burrs and sharp edges from precision metal components to meet blueprint, engineering, and quality specifications. This role supports production quality, safety, and efficiency through proper finishing techniques, inspection, and continuous improvement practices.
What you’ll be doing as a Deburr Technician (I-IV):
- Working a full-time, onsite position at our Simi Valley, CA location.
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications to determine deburr requirements.
- Remove burrs and break edges using grinding wheels, Scotch-Brite wheels, deburring knives, pneumatic tools, and drill presses.
- Perform precision deburring on parts ranging from simple components to complex geometries with tight tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshoot deburring challenges and recommend corrective actions to maintain quality and flow.
- Communicate part status, quality concerns, and production issues to supervisors and team members.
- Perform routine maintenance of tools and work area; replace worn or defective tooling.
- Support audits, nonconformance resolution, and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with training and mentoring team members as needed.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain safe work practices and contribute to a clean and organized work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):
- Experience in deburring, precision finishing, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Proficiency using hand tools, deburring equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining focus on repetitive tasks.
- Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations.
- Ability to follow safety requirements and use appropriate PPE.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):
- Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or quality management systems.
- Experience supporting process improvements or Lean initiatives.

Work is primarily performed in a machine shop environment with varying temperatures and potential exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and coolant vapors. Required safety equipment is provided and must be worn where designated.
Compensation and Benefits:
Employee Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; basic and supplemental life insurance; long-term disability; a 401(k) with up to a 6% QACA company match; paid time off including vacation, sick time, and nine (9) paid company holidays; shift differentials for applicable off-shifts; and discretionary bonus programs based on position and company performance.
The Deburr Technician Compensation range for onsite California applicants is $20 - 23 per hour commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
