About this position
Description:
- Perform Inspection functions including but not limited to: QA Releasing, Dimensional Inspection, Romer Scanning, Gage Lab Operations and Fab/Weld/Upgrade Operations.
- Develop, modify and document quality procedures in response to customer specifications and quality plans.
- Assist in mapping of all fabricated assemblies to meet quality and traceability requirements.
- Provide expertise to other WC departments in metrology, statistical control and quality planning.
- Investigate root causes and corrective actions of customer complaints and returns, as well as determine solutions and generate preventive action reports for customers.
- Review and interpret customer drawings and specifications in cooperation with engineers and other WC staff.
- Resolve quality compliance problems in collaboration with other WC departments and coordinating compliance resolution efforts.
- Perform quality review and release of repaired castings.
- Function as a backup for the Weld Coordinator as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of quality assurance experience.
- Demonstrated Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) knowledge.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated logical and systematical thinking, interpersonal, communication and writing skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
Salary Information
$26.20 - $39.32
