America’s Favorite Jeweler, Ross-Simons (a division of Luxury Brand Holdings) is seeking a Manager of Drop Ship (based in our Cranston, RI office). The Drop Ship Manager is responsible for the growth and vendor management of our drop ship program for direct from vendor to customer jewelry.
The Drop Ship Manager will deliver analysis and insights regarding Drop ship as well as executing in-season strategies in support of assigned business objectives and guidelines. In addition, the Drop Ship Manager is responsible for identifying efficiencies, best practices, improving tools and processes through constant partnership with the merchants, vendors, customer service and the technology team.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and guide the development of annual strategy for drop ship merchandising: Develop the vision and provide regular insights and conduct ad hoc analyses to merchants. Ensure team is delivering operational, competitive, and strategic insights to influence and inform business stakeholders.
- Own development and delivery of improved drop ship processes. Evaluate existing processes for efficiency opportunities and produce new, technology driven processes.
- Influence and leadership: Build strong, trusted relationships with SVP & Merchandise Directors utilizing analysis to provide recommendations and shifts in business strategy and drop ship assortments.
- Stay organized while pivoting and refining as priorities evolve over time
- Maintains market awareness and in-depth knowledge of the product categories.
- Work cross functionally with gemology, photography, marketing and distribution teams.
- Understand the merchandising process and product lifecycle. This includes keeping track of new new/incoming drop ship samples, scheduling web live dates accordingly, and ensuring that product is represented well on the site, in catalogs, emails, social media, etc. Seasonally evaluate and discontinue slow selling items.
- Responsible for drop ship vendor management. This includes onboarding of new drop ship vendors, working closely with vendors to ensure inventory feed accuracy, ensuring vendor’s timely fulfillment of customer orders, and determining holiday delivery cutoffs.
- Serve as the contact center’s main point of contact for any drop ship related customer order issues.
Experience and Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in merchandising, business, economics
- 5+ years of experience in retail, merchandising, and/or analysis preferred
- Experience with Drop Ship (direct fulfillment) is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to synthesize large and varying data sets into actionable insights
- Demonstrated experience effectively managing and leading a team
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Strong work ethic complemented with a positive can-do attitude
- Strong ability to build effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with ability to lead, facilitate and present to groups of differing size
- Advanced Excel skills required
