WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE & DELIVERY DRIVER


  1. Job Summary

 

Danboise Mechanical, Inc., or “DMI,” located in Farmington, Michigan, is a full-service mechanical contractor providing plumbing, drain line, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and electrical services to commercial and industrial companies of all sizes.  DMI is looking for a candidate that will fit in well with the DMI Team to maintain an efficient and organized warehouse operation.  The Warehouse Associate role will report to the Warehouse Manager.

 

  1. Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Receive material from vendors or other warehouses promptly and accurately
  • Verify the items and quantities received by checking material against the packing list
  • Report any errors or discrepancies regarding items or quantities being shipped or received to the Warehouse Manager
  • Manual and/or forklift assisted loading and unloading of trucks and commercial carriers
  • Transport material, tools and equipment to DMI jobsites and work areas as required
  • Participate in preparation and performance of physical inventory cycle counts
  • Comply with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
  • Operate manual and mechanical equipment in a safe manner
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

 

  1. Qualifications, Skills and Physical Demands

 

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move items within OSHA standards
  • Must be able to stand, sit, crouch, kneel, reach overhead, twist, and bend on a regular basis
  • Must be able to communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
  • Possess a certificate or have ability to successfully complete forklift operator exam
  • Maintains a professional image as a representative of DMI
  • Holds a valid driver’s license and has a clean driving record
  • Holds a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate or able to pass the DOT physical examination
  • Valid chauffeur’s license a plus
  • Able to pass a drug screening and background test

  • Prior warehouse and driver/delivery experience preferred

Salary Information

$18.0 - $22.0 Hourly Wage
