Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Serve as client manager, coordinating day-to-day activities and maintaining clear, proactive communication with assigned clients
  • In collaboration with team members, ensure the integrity of accounting information with accurate recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions into the general ledger system
  • Execute monthly close procedures, including account reconciliations and analysis, and prepare timely, accurate financial reporting packages for client review
  • Lead quality assurance efforts by reviewing and verifying both your work and that of supporting staff to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for client engagements
  • Research accounting issues, analyze complex problems, propose solutions, compile data, and prepare clear, actionable reports
  • Guide financial decision-making by establishing, documenting, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement accounting systems, workflows, and controls that ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial reporting
  • Collaborate with internal and external accountants and assist with the preparation of budgets and financial projections
  • Identify and document opportunities to improve processes, enhance productivity, and elevate client service quality
  • Safeguard client confidentiality by maintaining strict controls over financial information and strategic plans
  • Maintain up-to-date professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing industry publications, cultivating professional networks, and engaging in professional organizations
  • Participate in and lead special projects and perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and team objectives

 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, a combination of industry and public accounting preferred 
  • CPA or CMA achieved or enrolled, preferred 
  • Experience with data analytics, financial modeling, and analysis preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP

  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency in Excel preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of financial, accounting, and management software such as QuickBooks, Syft, Salesforce, and Microsoft 365, preferred 

  

Working Conditions  

This position is based in a professional office environment and requires regular, on-site attendance during standard business hours. The role may involve extended periods of sitting at a desk, working with computers and office equipment. Employees should be comfortable operating within a fast-paced setting that may require multitasking and adaptability to shifting priorities. The office promotes a collaborative atmosphere, and effective communication with team members, management, and clients is essential. Minimal travel may be required for meetings or professional development.
