We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Daycare Floater to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will provide supportive coverage across various classrooms, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children of different ages. Responsibilities
- Provide coverage in multiple classrooms as needed, assisting lead teachers and staff with daily activities
- Support children’s developmental needs through engaging play, learning activities, and supervision
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance to promote a positive environment
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to safety protocols and policies
- Help with diapering, feeding, and nap routines for infants and toddlers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and spaces
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized care plans when necessary
- Participate in ongoing training related to early childhood education, first aid, and behavior management
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must obtain a CDA, or child education degree.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience with infants, toddlers, or children with special needs is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and adapt to changing classroom needs
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude towards children and families
- Prior experience in caregiving, nannying, babysitting, or teaching is advantageous
- Flexibility to work varied shifts within the daycare hours; reliability is essential
