Position Description:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is integral to the financial integrity of our organization, ensuring meticulous management of payments and expense processing. This role, which reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager, is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring a detail-oriented approach and strong financial acumen.

Starting Hourly Wage: $20 - $23/hr.

Essential Job Functions:
Efficiently review, categorize, and process invoices using an automated workflow system.
Promptly investigate and rectify discrepancies in invoices.
Suggest and implement improvements to the invoice processing workflow to enhance operational efficiency.
Manage both electronic and physical invoices, routing them to the appropriate personnel for approval as needed.
Conduct manual check processing as required.
Organize payment schedules for vendors through weekly checks or ACH batches.
Prepare approved invoices and checks for signature and distribution.
Monitor payment schedules by regularly reviewing accounts payable aging reports.
Address vendor inquiries and effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders regarding accounts payable issues.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and improve payment processes.
Accurate and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills. Demonstrate professionalism; be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times.
Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous conferences.
Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with customers and colleagues through professionalism, courtesy, and friendliness.

Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the team.

Qualifications / Experience / Education:
Preferred associate's degree or equivalent education.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable.
Proficiency in administrative tasks and documentation procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional accuracy and efficiency in data entry, with proficiency in MS Office applications.
Experience in electronic vendor payment processing via ACH.
Ability to pass a 7-year criminal background check.
