Position Purpose
We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior SAP Functional Specialist to join our enterprise technology team. This role is instrumental in driving the success of both SAP and non-SAP initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Plan to Manufacture (PTM), Record to Report (RTR), and Integrated Business Planning (IBP). The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in these modules and demonstrate advanced proficiency in leveraging the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to architect scalable, integrated solutions across the enterprise. Experience supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities—such as system integrations, carve-outs, and process harmonization—is a strong plus. This position requires a strategic thinker who can bridge business needs with technical capabilities, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver transformative outcomes across manufacturing, finance, and planning domains.Primary Duties/Responsibilities (but not limited to):
· Serve as the primary functional authority for PTM, enabling efficient production planning, shop floor execution, and manufacturing analytics.· Drive RTR excellence, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and streamlined close processes across general ledger, asset accounting, and controlling.· Champion IBP adoption, aligning demand planning, supply planning, and inventory optimization with strategic business goals.· Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in PTM, RTR, and IBP workflows.· Translate complex business requirements into functional specifications and scalable SAP solutions that enhance operational performance and financial transparency.· Support M&A-related initiatives, including system integrations, data migration, and process harmonization across newly acquired or divested entities.· Architect and implement advanced solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), integrating SAP and non-SAP systems to enable real-time data exchange, process automation, and enhanced user experiences.· Utilize BTP services such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, and SAP Data Intelligence to build robust, cloud-native applications and integrations.· Ensure seamless connectivity between SAP modules and external platforms, including MES, CRM, and financial systems.· Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of BTP-based solutions.· Partner with data governance and BI teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across PTM, RTR, and IBP domains.· Support reporting and analytics initiatives using tools such as Power BI, enabling visibility into manufacturing KPIs, financial metrics, and planning performance.· Contribute to predictive modeling and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.· Contribute to enterprise-wide non-SAP initiatives, including digital transformation, business intelligence, and operational efficiency programs.· Provide functional and technical support for non-SAP platforms, including Microsoft Suite tools and third-party applications.· Act as a liaison between IT and business units for critical projects, ensuring integration, performance, and user adoption.· Lead or support cross-functional teams in delivering high-impact solutions that span SAP and non-SAP ecosystems.· Maintain system documentation, process maps, and training materials to support enterprise-wide understanding and adoption of PTM, RTR, IBP, and BTP capabilities.· Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and communicate system capabilities.· Lead change management efforts to support the rollout of new tools, processes, and technologies.· Ensure all solutions adhere to internal governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.· Monitor system performance and proactively recommend enhancements to improve reliability, scalability, and user experience.· Stay current with SAP and non-SAP technology trends, bringing forward innovative ideas and solutions to enhance enterprise capabilities.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 7 years of hands-on SAP functional experience, with deep expertise in PTM, RTR, IBP, and SAP BTP.· Proven ability to lead and deliver complex SAP initiatives across manufacturing, finance, and planning domains.· Experience supporting M&A activities, including system integration, data migration, and process harmonization, is a strong plus.· Experience with Power BI for enterprise analytics and reporting.· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).· Demonstrated success in cross-platform integration and enterprise architecture.· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).· SAP certifications in PTM, RTR, IBP, and BTP modules are highly desirable.Benefits:
