Job Summary:

 

Housekeeping Room Attendants are responsible for providing comfort to guests by ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and properly presented. A housekeeping Room Attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests.

 

 Responsibilities and Duties Include but Not Limited to the Following:

    Vacuums the carpet, mops all floors, sanitizes all surface areas, and dusts/polishes surface areas and furniture in each assigned guest room.Makes bed, changes sheet, removes and replenishes used towels, toiletries and amenities in each assigned guest room according to The Betsy’s operational standards.Inspects the condition of bathrobes and replaces soiled/damaged ones. Cleans the closet and door tracks, replaces laundry bags and slips, and removes dust and debris. Ensures correct amount and placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillow and luggage rack.Realigns furniture to the floor plan.Ensures security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.Delivers and retrieves items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards.Properly displaces IRD remnants in appropriate locations.Self-manages time to ensure daily board assignment is completed by the end of each day.Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and The Betsy property in the assigned work area. Takes responsibility for assigned rooms by reporting any technical issues/maintenance needs to HSKP Supervisor/Management.Work as a team with HSKP Management and Supervisors to ensure all cleaned rooms meet The Betsy expectations and exceed guest satisfaction scores. Utilizes The Betsy’s standard operating procedures upon entering the guest room, including proper sanitation equipment, sanitation chemicals, and cleaning sequence.Stocks cart and personal caddie each day, and sorts supplies in HSKP area and in linen closets.Performs rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets) as required.
Job Requirements: 

    High school graduate or equivalent.Some experience in housekeeping or custodial services preferred.Must have the ability to:
      Speak, read, write and understand basic English.  Spanish desirable;Stand and walk for extended periods of time;Lift, push, pull and handle up to 50 lbs of weight;Use smart devices and guest service management application;Work independently;Multi-task;Follow detailed instructions.
