Position Description
- Designs, develops, or modifies products, applying engineering principles.
- Determines feasibility of designs considering costs, time limitations, planning, and other technical and economic factors.
- Conducts engineering studies on design for products, associated and subsystems components, and structures.
- Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to design.
- Positions covered by this definition are characterized by the inclusion of work that requires an understanding of both theories and principles.
Requirements
- Develop knowledge of the mechanical components of Double E’s product lines.
- Process orders and review customer applications to ensure products are properly specified.
- Design products specific to customer applications and requirements.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing and manufacturing departments to ensure product quality and on-time delivery.
- Create CAD drawings and representations for customer orders and detail drawing for manufacturing and purchasing.
- Perform engineering support for application engineers and product managers.
- Must be organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical principles like torque, tension, loading and deflection
- Good communication skills - able to work well in a team and communicate with customers.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD/CREO/Solid Works
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of basic inspection equipment
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
- 7+ years of experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Moderate volume – high mix
- Familiarity with CNC machining and machine shop settings

$100000.00 - $125000.00
