About the Role:

The Senior Civil Engineer will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and execution of various civil engineering projects within the Mid-Atlantic region. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and practices to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Civil Engineer will lead project teams, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. Additionally, this role involves conducting site assessments, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Ultimately, the Senior Civil Engineer will contribute to the development of infrastructure that enhances community safety and quality of life.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Maryland is required..
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering design software.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to assess project viability and environmental impact.
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs, specifications, and technical reports for various civil engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and to resolve any issues that arise during construction.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
