Job Title: Counter Sales Representative

Position Summary:

The Counter Sales Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support at the sales counter. This role involves assisting customers with product selection, processing orders, managing inventory inquiries, and ensuring a positive buying experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers promptly and professionally at the sales counter.
Provide accurate product information, pricing, and availability details.
Process customer orders, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized counter area and ensure merchandise is properly displayed.
Collaborate with warehouse and delivery teams to fulfill customer orders.
Handle cash, credit transactions, and maintain accurate records.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business.
Stay informed about new products, promotions, and industry trends.
Assist in inventory management, including stock checks and replenishment.
Resolve customer issues and escalate complex problems to management when necessary.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in sales or business is a plus.
Proven experience in counter sales, retail, or customer service.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
Knowledge of products related to the industry (e.g., hardware, automotive, building materials) preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Lift and move products up to 50 lbs as needed.

Work Environment:

Primarily in-store at the sales counter with occasional warehouse interaction.
