SparkCharge is a fast-growing cleantech start-up that is reducing barriers to Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption.  We design, manufacture, and sell portable, charging systems for EVs.  We are looking for an entrepreneurial hands-on delivery & warehouse associate  to assist with expanding our services.


About the role

  • SparkCharge is currently seeking an Assembler at SparkCharge, you will assemble a wide variety of components to build/repair our suite of products that are utilized to bring custom solutions to our customers.  You will wear many hats, be part of an exceptional team and make a real positive impact on things that matter.   The position is fully in-plant.

What you'll do

  • Assemble Electro-Mechanical Systems, and their sub-assemblies, in a light manufacturing environment.   Perform these tasks in conformance with written work instructions, and other quality control documentation.
  • Maintain proper component traceability and production documentation. 
  • Perform Acceptance Tests using handheld and automated test equipment. 
  • Combine electrical wires and cables into multi-strand configurations (wire harnesses).
  • Perform soldering of circuit boards on an as-needed basis.
  • Communicate effectively to the team about manufacturing and/or component issues.
  • Willingly and capably contribute to team solutions in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Willingly and successfully take ownership of varied work tasks in a startup environment.
  • Assist team by performing duties in other areas of production/manufacturing

Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED.
  • Written and verbal fluency with the English language.
  • Ability to read and understand work/test instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly operations.
  • Capable of carrying 75# +, when needed; perform assembly work in a standing or sitting position.
  • Experience working on teams.
  • Commitment to working safely and helping to create an accident-free workplace.
  • High degree of personal accountability. Proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure, and adapt to an ever-changing environment.


The ideal candidate should be able to:

  • Troubleshoot and repair printed circuit boards
  • Work with computerized manufacturing and inventory control systems.
  • Work around high voltage, high current, 3-phase electrical systems.
  • Work with the various tools of Lean Manufacturing.

The pay range for this role is:
21 - 23 USD per hour(Buffalo Assembly Plant)
