Academic Weekly Schedule:  8:30a-4p Mondays, 9a-2p Thursdays, 8:30a-2pm Fridays and Saturdays = 23.00 hours per week

JOB SUMMARY


This position ensures service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt, quality beverage selection, purchase, and preparation. Customers are to experience a welcoming, friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Welcome and communicate with every customer to provide excellent customer service.
  • Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests product with every customer to enhance service.
  • Assist customer in the selection and purchase of specialty beverages, whole bean sales, foods, beverages, and related products.
  • Respond to customers needs and says thank you to every customer.
  • Present oneself professionally and demonstrate clear communication with all customer and partner interactions.
  • Maintain customer service area, equipment, seating areas and lobby, in a clean and appealing manner.
  • Perform equipment maintenance in accordance with preventative maintenance checklist.
  • Follow store policies and procedures for operational flow at each station.
  • Perform cleaning tasks and cleaning standards and works as a store team player.
  • Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing all products.
  • Follow cash handling and register policies under the guidelines of the cashier training manual and established cash control procedures.
  • Works as a cashier on a POS terminal or a computerized cash register.
  • Enter data in POS and/or CRT terminal.
  • Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day to Starbucks standards.
  • Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
  • May unpack, price and shelve merchandise.
  • Must adhere to the required dress code.
  • Direct student employees as assigned.
  • Perform any related job duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:

  • One-year minimum experience in a retail/food service establishment.
  • Candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 60 lbs.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

  • The candidate will be required to perform practical operation of the training register including balancing of cash drawers and preparing deposits. 
  • Must pass Barista Certification




Salary Information

$17.66 - $17.66 Hourly Wage
