Description:
Summary: Supervise team members and coordinate support functions to ensure all assembly functions are completed safely, and products are built on-schedule free of defects.
Primary responsibilities and duties:
- Achieves results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
- Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results daily.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; and recommending action.
- Improve operational metrics through team development and process improvement
- Diagnose all quality issues and develop effective corrective actions to minimize future occurrences
- Work with Process Engineers to improve quality and lower manufacturing costs
- Obtains the daily production demands for time, materials, and labor
- Maintains the most reliable and regular attendance habits setting the standard for all team members reporting to them.
- Obtains and maintains a good working knowledge of products and manufacturing processes.
- Enforces compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations.
Qualifications: Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Tracking Budget Expenses, Production Planning, Strategic Planning, Dealing with Complexity. Five years in a leadership role and experience holding teammates accountable. Proven experience managing and motivating people. Tremendous problem solving skills
