SUMMARY:

This AI Intern will work closely with AI engineers and operational teams to develop intelligent solutions, improve data processes, and solve technical problems. This includes the design, testing, and implementation of data pipelines, machine learning models, software integrations, and other ad-hoc projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with team members to learn and contribute to the development of clear, maintainable code and data structures, following company standards and engineering best practices.
  • Supports and gains hands-on experience in data ingestion and preprocessing, helping to prepare large datasets for AI applications such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
  • Assists in the development and training of non-generative AI technologies - such as machine learning algorithms and automated visual inspection systems - while building foundational skills in these areas.
  • Prepares and communicates concise project status updates and technical progress reports to the team, developing professional reporting skills.
  • Learns and applies basic methods for data analysis and model evaluation, including accuracy metrics, confusion matrices, and performance benchmarking.
  • Uses systematic verification and validation techniques to identify and understand issues related to model outputs, data integrity, or software logic.
  • Understands and adheres to data security principles, including the protection of proprietary information and compliance with governance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and data structures.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages is commonly used in data handling.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and project requirements.
DESIRED SKILLS
  • Familiarity with computer vision concepts or visual inspection technologies.
  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Understanding of basic machine learning concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning)

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
