Your Mission:

As a Technical Partner Program Manager, you will play a key role in supporting DriveCentric's strategic partnerships with automotive OEMs, vendors, and technology partners. You will manage day-to-day partner relationships, drive the technical execution of API integrations, and serve as the bridge between external partners and internal engineering teams. This role requires a hands-on understanding of RESTful APIs, the ability to author and maintain documentation, write business requirements, and influence the product roadmap for the DriveCentric Partner Hub and Partner API program.

This is an individual contributor role ideal for someone with a technical product or program management background who is eager to expand their knowledge in the automotive technology ecosystem, build strong industry relationships, and grow into more senior technical program management, product management, or partnership leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnership Support & Execution

    • Manage the full-cycle relationship with OEMs, vendors, and strategic partners, serving as a primary point of contact for day-to-day communication and coordination

    • Support the execution of partnership initiatives, including co-marketing campaigns, certifications, and data-sharing programs

    • Prepare and maintain partnership documentation, agreements, and reports to ensure compliance and alignment with company objectives

    • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Engineering) to ensure partner requirements are understood, technically scoped, and delivered on time

  • Account Management

    • Monitor partner performance and key metrics, ensuring deliverables and service-level expectations are met

    • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on partnership activities, project status, and results

    • Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships through new initiatives, integrations, or data-sharing opportunities

  • Market & Product Awareness

    • Stay informed on automotive industry trends, OEM program requirements, and competitive developments

    • Share market insights and partner feedback with the Product and Engineering teams to help shape product enhancements and partnership strategy

  • Partner API & Technical Program Management

    • Own and maintain the business-facing DriveCentric Partner API documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and usability for external developer audiences across endpoints

    • Write clear, detailed business requirements documents (BRDs) and user stories for new API endpoints, enhancements, and integration features, translating partner needs into actionable specifications for engineering

    • Influence and support the product roadmap for the Partner Hub and Partner API program, prioritizing new endpoints, data extraction capabilities, and integration improvements based on partner demand and strategic value

    • Communicate directly with engineering teams to refine API designs, review technical specifications, validate request/response schemas, and participate in release planning and acceptance criteria definition

    • Support partner onboarding by guiding technical teams through API authentication, endpoint usage, data models, and integration best practices

    • Triage and coordinate resolution of partner-reported API issues, working across engineering and support teams to diagnose integration problems and communicate fixes

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-years of experience in technical program management, technical product management, partnerships, or vendor relations—preferably in automotive technology, SaaS, or a related field

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across internal teams and external partners

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn

Technical Requirements:

  • Understanding of RESTful API concepts, including HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), request/response structures, authentication schemes (bearer tokens, OAuth), status codes, and pagination patterns

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret API documentation, JSON schemas, and data models; comfortable reviewing endpoint specifications and identifying gaps or inconsistencies

  • Experience writing business requirements documents, product specifications, or technical user stories that engineering teams can build from directly

  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate directly with software engineering teams—comfortable participating in technical discussions around API design, data flows, release criteria, and integration architecture

  • Experience owning or contributing to a product roadmap, including feature prioritization, backlog management, and stakeholder alignment

  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI) and basic experience using them to validate endpoints or troubleshoot integration issues

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with CRM platforms, automotive DMS systems, or dealer technology integrations

  • Familiarity with data exchange formats (JSON, XML, ADF/XML) and webhook/event-driven integration patterns

  • Experience with project management or product tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms

Benefits
