About this position
Duties include:
Administrative duties such as data input for new members, new advisors, existing members and advisors and Senior DeMolays.
Basic correspondence of new member packages and information to the various Jurisdictions Executive Officers and his staff.
Answering telephone calls and emails and handling such calls and emails professionally or directing them to the proper staff.
Doing basic book keeping of DeMolay International financials using Quickbooks, including purchase orders, payments, PayPal invoicing and receipts, income and monthly financial reports. Working with the Budget and Finance committee on budget preparation.
Note, this does not include payroll, tax preparation, or formal audit.
Assisting the Executive Director in the performance of his daily duties including preparation for Board of Director meetings. Annual and Semi-annual meetings of DeMolay International and other items in the management of the building. Some travel will be required. Each year in June we have a large international meeting which may require travel to that location. Other occasional weekend trips for training or meetings may also be required.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Organization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks. Flexibility to adjust to new tasks should company or office needs change. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees and members of DeMolay International.
Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly. Computer literacy sufficient to function easily with Microsoft Office software, Quickbooks, and the internal software program of DeMolay International, Escribe.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director. The Executive Director manages the administrative, staff, and building of DeMolay International and reports to the Grand Secretary. Any accounting/bookkeeping responsibilities will be under the direction of the Grand Treasurer who will coordinate with the Executive Director to assure completion and accuracy.
Position is considered a full time position and will office at the DeMolay International headquarters located at 10200 NW Ambassador Drive, Kansas City, MO 64153
Following a 90 day probationary period, benefits include a package that includes, health, vision, dental, disability, and 401(k) match, eleven paid holidays. After one year of service PTO will include 10 days paid time off and after 5 years 15 days paid time off.
Starting pay $55,000.00 with increase to $60,000.00 after 90 day probation
