About this position
- Develop and maintain enterprise EHS policies, standards, and procedures (including Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), LOTO, machine guarding, contractor safety, and emergency preparedness).
- Establish and maintain an enterprise training matrix; ensure training effectiveness and completion tracking across all sites.
- Lead incident and near-miss reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and verification of corrective actions.
- Plan and execute routine site inspections and internal audits; drive closure of findings with Operations and Facilities/Engineering.
- Own the enterprise EHS dashboard and reporting cadence (monthly site reviews; quarterly enterprise review).
- Maintain an environmental compliance register and compliance calendar (permits, monitoring, inspections, reporting) and verify completion with evidence.
- Partner with Facilities/Engineering on environmental systems, compliance projects, and management of change for EHS impact.
- Coordinate occupational health program requirements with HR and MX clinic (medical surveillance triggers, restricted duty/return-to-work coordination, and trend reviews).
- Support customer and third-party audits related to EHS; ensure documentation is accurate, current, and retrievable.
- Manage EHS-related contractors and consultants (industrial hygiene sampling, waste vendors, environmental labs, training providers) as applicable.
- Coach supervisors and site champions to strengthen safe behaviors, hazard reporting, and consistent enforcement.
