Position Description: The Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) leads the enterprise-wide PMO strategy, ensuring consistent project execution aligned with organizational goals. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, governance, and performance of all programs and projects within the portfolio. The PMO Director will establish and maintain project management standards, drive strategic alignment across business units, and ensure effective resource management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. Develop and execute the PMOs strategic roadmap to align with enterprise goals.
Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on project prioritization, risk, and capacity.
10.00% - Governance & MethodologyStandardize project management frameworks, tools, and processes across the organization.
Establish and maintain governance models, approval processes, and performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, government contracting standards (e.g., FAR), and quality frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, CMMI).
10.00% - Portfolio OversightDirect oversight of the project portfolio, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
Monitor KPIs, develop executive dashboards, and report on portfolio health to stakeholders.
Support business development efforts by contributing to technical approaches, pricing strategies, and proposal reviews.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: PMO Director - Knowledge:Deep understanding of project and program management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, Hybrid)
Expertise in federal contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS), procurement processes, and compliance frameworks
Proficiency in portfolio management, resource planning, and strategic alignment
Working knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, government-funded healthcare operations, or VA project execution
