Job Summary
The Test Technician will support the wafer sort operations in Santa Clara. Major responsibilities will be to operate and maintain wafer probe hardware, debug and repair defective hardware, review test results and generate wafer pick maps. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Basic Maintenance and repair of probe hardware, including probers, probe cards and probe card circuitry, probe needles/pins, and test systems.
- Conduct Wafer Sort Operations. Load wafers, monitor wafer probe processing and respond to errors.
- Calibration, inspection, and setup of Probecards and test Equipment.
- Inspection and disposition of tested wafers in partnership with Yield engineer.
- Use test software to troubleshoot test data and create wafer pick maps.
- Prepare manufacturing documentation and specifications related to wafer sort.
- Bring up new probe cards built by vendors. This includes calibration, buy-off of data, circuity and test data debug, data collection, analysis and review with Test Engineer.
- Learn wafer probe methodology of upcoming new products in preparation for mass production.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related field desired.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in semiconductor industry required.
- Hands-on experience running and maintaining wafer probers, including knowledge of Accretech TSK and EG Prober systems.
- Expertise in probe card manufacturing, verification, and repair.
- Experience configuring product files, wafermaps, and advanced features on probers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and computer tasks required.
- Experience with assembling cables and soldering/rework is a plus.
- Ability to read electrical schematics; experience debugging electronic hardware is a plus.
- Computer programming skills are a plus.
- Must have good planning skills and be able to work independently without supervision.
- Unrestricted right to work in the United States.
