The Nursing Certified Medical Technician plays a critical role in supporting the health and safety of employees within a manufacturing environment. This position involves performing clinical assessments, administering basic medical treatments, and assisting with health monitoring to ensure workplace compliance with health regulations. Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification as a Nursing Medical Technician or equivalent credential.
- Experience working in a clinical or occupational health setting
- Basic life support (BLS) and first aid certification.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in occupational health nursing or industrial hygiene.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation software.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and associated health risks.
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification.
- Training in ergonomics and injury prevention strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial health screenings and assessments for employees, including vital signs and symptom evaluation.
- Provide first aid and basic medical care in response to workplace injuries or illnesses.
- Maintain and update confidential medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for employee referrals, follow-ups, and health program implementation.
- Assist in the development and delivery of workplace health and safety training and wellness initiatives.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations within the manufacturing setting.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing necessary support until advanced care is available.
