POSITION TITLE:  Inside Sales Manager

Position Overview

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and driving performance of the Inside Sales Representative team. This role ensures that all aspects of proactive customer engagement, opportunity mining and conversion from call-to-quote-to-order, CRM management, and outbound sales execution are performed with excellence and consistency.

The Inside Sales Manager establishes clear performance expectations, drives accountability to sales quotas and activity metrics, and ensures operational alignment between sales, production, and customer service teams. This position plays a critical role in revenue growth, customer retention, and execution of Rensa’s sales strategy.


Essential Position Duties & Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Directly manage and coach Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Establish clear KPIs including outbound call activity (minimum 60%), lead follow-up cadence, CRM hygiene, conversion rates, and quota attainment.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 performance reviews and team sales meetings.
  • Provide ongoing coaching in consultative selling, objection handling, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
  • Develop training programs for onboarding and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.


Sales Performance & Strategy Execution

  • Own and drive individual and team quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Monitor pipeline activity in HubSpot CRM and ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to identify new business opportunities and growth initiatives.
  • Support large deal strategy and assist in closing key opportunities.
  • Implement outbound sales campaigns and structured call initiatives.
  • Analyze sales data and provide actionable insights for improvement.


Operational Excellence

  • Ensure timely and accurate quoting, pricing, and order processing.
  • Oversee coordination between inside sales, production, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring operational challenges and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain strong CRM data integrity and reporting standards.


Customer & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently met.
  • Partner with outside sales, supply chain, and operations teams to drive customer satisfaction and account growth.
  • Identify process improvements that enhance speed, efficiency, and customer experience.

  • Deep understanding of CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
  • Advanced analytical and forecasting capabilities.

  • Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Sales, or related field).
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive sales experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a sales leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading teams to achieve or exceed quotas.
  • Experience in manufacturing, filtration, HVAC, or industrial distribution preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse and inventory management procedures.
  • Proven ability to analyze metrics and drive performance improvements.


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Salary Information

$125000.0 - $153000.0 Annual Salary
