Purpose:

The Heavy Maintenance Representative serves as the primary liaison between the Heavy Maintenance Provider and 21 Air’s Maintenance and Quality departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project. This role is responsible for overseeing the progress, quality, and regulatory compliance of heavy maintenance activities, including documentation review, inspections, and airworthiness authorization. The position ensures aircraft are returned to service in full compliance with company procedures and FAA standards, maintaining the highest level of safety and quality. Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Serve as Liaison between the Heavy Maintenance Provider and the Director of Maintenance, Manager of Heavy Maintenance, Manager of Quality Control, Senior Manager of Quality Control, Manager of Quality Assurance, and the Manager of Reliability.
  • Ensure that aircraft being inspected and repaired for completion with the highest quality possible.
  • Ensure that all paperwork provided to records department regarding the aircraft is complete from the omissions and obvious errors that is properly identified.
  • Ensure the progress and quality of the heavy maintenance project.
  • Monitor and inspect the work being performed on the heavy maintenance project.
  • Assist with interpretation and implementation of standard practices.
  • Ensure that all documentation required by 21 Air is completed.
  • Review paperwork frequently to ensure discrepancies and corrective action is being correctly documented.
  • Perform Airworthiness Release Authorization and RII functions of completed aircraft.
  • Assist with training for heavy maintenance personnel.
  • Assist with receiving inspection of parts provisioning
Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications

  •  Technical Proficiency – Demonstrates foundational mechanical and electrical knowledge with a willingness to learn complex systems.
  •  Attention to Detail – Carefully follows maintenance instructions and documents work accurately.
  •  Individual must be organized and able to work with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  •  Must hold a valid A&P License.
  •  Must be a high school graduate.
  •  Ability to read, write, and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  •  Ability to give verbal and written directions to assigned staff.
  •  Must show proof you are authorized to work in the U.S. Physical Requirements

Travel
