Summary/Objective
Keeping high quality in mind at all times, applies powder coat to various metal components in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Functions
- Apply powder coating to various vent products
- Prepare surface with cleaning solution to remove oil, dust, dirt, etc.
- Use powder guns to paint product. Adjust nozzles to obtain proper dispersion of spray
- Check flow of powder
- Bake product to cure powder coat
- Inspect product for flaws
- Perform inspection prior to and after cure process
- Follows required cure procedures
- Clean all equipment at the end of shift
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Assist packing area as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Temperature is varied to the temperature outside due to open doors and garages. This position exposes employee to extreme heat.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to, or sometimes over, 50 pounds. Certain tasks require standing for entire shift.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday. Shift is:
- First shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Preferred Experience
- Prior powder coating experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but not required
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of a high school education
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and read a tape measure
