The Role

The Wellness Manager oversees all facility services, maintenance, workplace health and safety regulatory compliance, and security to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for team members and guests. This role leads the Wellness Attendant Team, develops and implements clear SOPs, and manages relationships with external contractors and vendors, including oversight of inspection logs, maintenance schedules, and repair needs. The Manager communicates timelines for issue resolution to staff, ensures departmental efficiency, and supports guest comfort. This position requires strong project management skills, leadership experience, and alignment with THE WELL’s mission. The role is full-time and participates in the Lead-on-Duty schedule, with early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and inspire the Wellness Attendant team, cultivating professionalism, pride, and accountability.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and development in partnership with the Director of Wellness.
  • Create thoughtful scheduling aligned with business needs and service standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and regular coaching conversations.
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and solutions-oriented team culture.
  • Serve as Leader-on-Duty (LOD) as assigned, ensuring operational excellence across the Club.

Facilities & Environment

  • Oversee all facility services including maintenance, inspections, environmental health & safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain detailed logs of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Partner with external vendors (cleaning, maintenance, security) to ensure best-in-class service delivery and accountability.
  • Lead facilities-related projects and ensure all spaces remain pristine, organized, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, functionality, and guest comfort.

Guest Experience

  • Maintain a consistent and engaged presence within the Club.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure spaces reflect THE WELL’s elevated aesthetic and service expectations.
  • Address guest concerns with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support an environment that feels calm, refined, and impeccably maintained at all times.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all health, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are upheld.
  • Train team members on safety protocols and proper procedures.
  • Serve as primary liaison for cleaning vendors and follow up on any quality deficiencies.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.

Operations & Stewardship

  • Maintain and update SOPs to reflect operational excellence.
  • Manage inventory of linens, supplies, and attendant materials with financial mindfulness.
  • Support daily operations as needed, including stepping into Attendant responsibilities when appropriate.
  • Ensure back-of-house spaces are orderly and operationally sound.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in spa, luxury hospitality, fitness, or facilities operations
  • 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
  • Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills
  • A calm, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail and operational discipline
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

  • Experience in luxury hospitality or wellness environments
  • Familiarity with booking or facilities management systems
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
