About the Role:
The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Store Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the retail store. This position is responsible for driving sales performance, maintaining high standards of customer service, and overseeing daily store activities to meet company goals. The Assistant Store Manager will lead and motivate the store team, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. They will also handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and training new employees. Ultimately, this role contributes to creating a positive shopping experience for customers while maximizing store profitability and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of retail experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
- Experience with inventory management software and sales analytics tools.
- Previous experience in a multi-unit retail environment.
- Demonstrated success in coaching and developing teams.
- Knowledge of merchandising and visual display techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead, coach, and develop store staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising to maintain store presentation standards.
- Handle administrative duties including staff scheduling, payroll, and sales reporting.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Support the Store Manager in executing marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
