Summary of Role:
Saco Valley Credit Union, a 2025 Best Place to Work in ME, is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to join our team as Vice President of Marketing and Digital Strategy. This senior leadership role is instrumental in strengthening our competitive position, elevating the member experience, and driving operational excellence. This role leads a small but impactful marketing team, manages the Credit Union’s digital banking platforms, and oversees strategic project planning and implementation—spanning new products, services, and software.
Work Location:
We believe in setting you up for success. During onboarding, you will work on-site at our three locations in Saco and Waterboro to build relationships and gain operational insight. Following onboarding, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement based on business needs.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: (Other duties as assigned)
Marketing & Member Engagement
- Develop and lead marketing and business development initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Supervise one marketing staff member, fostering a collaborative, creative, and performance-driven team environment.
- Analyze campaign performance and engagement metrics.
- Conduct market research and recommend product and service improvements.
- Oversee member complaint and grievance response processes.
Digital Services Oversight
- Oversee the strategy and optimization of online and mobile banking platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and vendor partners to enhance digital capabilities.
- Monitor fintech trends and recommend improvements to digital engagement.
Strategic Initiative & Project Leadership
- Lead planning and implementation of strategic initiatives, including technology and vendor projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and performance indicators.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop and execute change management and training plans.
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, digital banking, or marketing, preferably within a financial institution.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience managing cross-functional teams or initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and drive organizational change.
- Working knowledge of digital banking platforms, fintech trends, and member experience best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This position primarily operates in an office environment and may require:
- Prolonged periods of working at a computer and remaining in a stationary position.
- Frequently moving about the office and between company locations.
- Travel to various locations, typically within the State of Maine.
