About this position

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Finish machined parts by polishing, deburring and other finishing techniques. Prepping materials, setting up, and loading a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.Finishing of machined parts by polishing and deburring using a pencil grinder, angle grinder or file.
  • Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock
  • Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads
  • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedure and regulations

Education and Experience

  • MUST have HS Diploma
  • Prefer 2 years of experience in a machine shop
  • Skillful with finishing hand tools such as pencil grinder, right angle grinder, file; etc
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases

  • Hourly rate range from $15/hr - $20/hr
