About this position
The Part-Time Faculty member will join a dynamic pool of instructors focused on delivering high-quality, articulated instruction to students in collaboration with secondary education partners. This role supports students’ transition to college-level coursework and career pathways, using hands-on, engaging teaching methods that align with college standards and support seamless articulation with high school programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in accordance with the college’s articulated curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with high school educators and administrators to sustain and improve articulation agreements.
- Assess and document student learning outcomes, adhering to college policies and standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with curriculum updates and instructional practices.
- Act as a liaison between Clatsop Community College and partner high schools to foster strong collaborative relationships.
- Ensure all instructional activities comply with institutional and state requirements for articulated programs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field (Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience considered).
- Demonstrated teaching or industry experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred.
