About this position

Summary

We are seeking a talented Automation Software Engineer to join our newly formed Statim Technology team as part of our Technology Acceleration Initiative. This role is essential to transforming Statim by applying technical expertise to build scalable, automated solutions that keep our firm at the cutting edge of logistics technology. The ideal candidate will be a change agent who works directly with business stakeholders to understand customer needs, designs end-to-end automation solutions, and develops enterprise-level code that directly impacts company operations and customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process Automation & Integration
    • Work with direct business stakeholders to understand internal and external customer needs for automation, providing technical expertise to define requirements and code solutions.
    • Design and implement end-to-end automation solutions minimizing manual touchpoints across integration workflows.
    • Develop XML configuration templates with variable substitution for scalable client integrations.
    • Create automated EDI setup tools ensuring consistent configuration across client implementations.
    • Build workflow automations using Data Factory and other industry-leading tools.
  • Web App Portal Support
    • Support and develop responsive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
    • Build secure API integrations connecting portal to internal TMS and billing systems.
    • Implement user experience improvements with measurable reduction in support ticket volume.
  • Driver Operations Technology
    • Develop automated trigger events and preventive scripts for proactive issue resolution.
    • Create driver no-show reduction protocols with predictive notifications and automated check-ins.
    • Implement pay calculation audit systems with duplicate payment detection and fraud prevention.
  • TMS System Optimization
    • Write enterprise-level code in multiple programming languages with focus on scalability and robustness.
    • Develop automated scripts reducing dispatch issues through AI-driven communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
    • Build integration frameworks connecting TMS to external vendor systems and customer platforms.
    • Create automated billing calculation engines with audit trails and error handling.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work embedded with business teams including dispatch, operations, and customer success to ensure alignment on technical solutions.
    • Participate in agile development methodologies with rapid iteration and continuous improvement focus.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-aligned technical solutions tied to customer value.
       

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 -8 years of software development experience with focus on customer-facing applications.
  • High proficiency in C#, SQL, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
  • Experience with APIs, webhooks, XML, data integration platforms, and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, HTML5, CSS3, and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or AWS preferred).
  • Git and collaborative development workflow experience.
  • Experience building process automation or workflow optimization solutions.
  • Previous work with logistics, healthcare, or enterprise software strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), logistics software, EDI standards, and healthcare compliance requirements is a significant advantage.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to scalable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and architect technical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Previous startup or high-growth company experience preferred.

Work Environment

The position is a hybrid position with 3 days office presence in Denver, CO required and minimal travel.   Remote work flexibility available with proven ability to work independently and efficiently.
