Compensation: $70-72,000 per year for 37.5 hrs per week

Position Summary:
The Finance Manager provides management, oversight, and support of fiscal operations for Community Living Alliance by ensuring accuracy, compliance and monitoring financial viability.  Oversees day-to-day accounting functions with maintaining general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Primary Duties:
  • Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.
  • Supports the annual audit process, ensuring proper documentation and timely completion.
  • Manages the general ledger, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end closing processes.
  • Performs banking transactions and records in financial software.
  • Oversee fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and related reporting.
  • Coordinates with Revenue Manager to resolve billing questions or discrepancies.
  • Implement processes to improve cash collections and minimize outstanding receivables.
  • Serves as primary backup for payroll processing to ensure continuity of payroll operations.
  • Reconciles payroll deductions to vendor invoices.
  • Monitors the financial viability of CLA through reporting audit and compliance.
  • Provides departmental financial reports and presents financial indicators on a quarterly basis.
  • Coordinates and complete monthly and year end close items per generally accepted accounting rules.
  • Supervise Senior Finance Specialist position.

Education/Experience and Requirements:
Required
  • Bachelors degree in business or accounting.
    • Associates degree with at least 6 years experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Must own or have access to reliable transportation to commute to the CLA office.
  • 18 Years or Older
  • Pass a WI Caregiver Background Check
  • Capable of lifting/moving/pushing/pulling 35 pounds
  • Authorized to Work in the United States
Preferred
  • Knowledge of financial systems, bookkeeping, and accounting practices.
  • Knowledge of accounting and computerized accounting software packages
  • Knowledge of payroll and time and attendance principles
